The story of Poppins Innovations began with Glennys Rosario, a passionate professional in communication and public relations. From a young age, Glennys felt a great passion for this field, leading her to pursue a degree in Social Communication. After completing her studies and just three months after graduating, she co-founded a financial services company. For over eight years, she led a fintech, developing sales and marketing strategies that positioned the company as a benchmark in the Dominican Republic and Mexican markets.
In late 2023, Glennys decided to return to her calling in communication. She started working with companies she was already associated with, always in pursuit of continuous improvement. This led her to refresh her skills by studying Public Relations at the University of Cape Town. After several months working on reputation management and personal branding, she felt inspired to start her own public relations and digital marketing company. Thus, Poppins Innovations was born.
The choice of the name "Poppins Innovations" was made with great care and reflection. In a male-dominated financial market, Glennys needed a name that would highlight the feminine and magical side. While searching for a short, iconic name, she thought of Mary. It was her colleague Marycarmen who reminded her of the inspiring story of Mary Poppins and how it motivates us all. From this story, the slogan "Where strategies fly higher than kites" was born, conveying an image of elevation and overcoming obstacles. The reference to kites, which in the Mary Poppins movie symbolize freedom, hope, and the joy of rising above difficulties, perfectly aligned with the idea she had in mind.
